Asynchrony and Collusion in the N-party BAR Transfer Problem

چکیده
The problem of reliably transferring data from a set of NP producers to a set of NC consumers in the BAR model, named N-party BAR Transfer (NBART), is an important building block for volunteer computing systems. An algorithm to solve this problem in synchronous systems, which provides a Nash equilibrium, has been presented in previous work. In this paper, we propose an NBART algorithm for asynchronous systems. Furthermore, we also address the possibility of collusion among the Rational processes. Our game theoretic analysis shows that the proposed algorithm tolerates certain degree of arbitrary collusion, while still fulfilling the NBART properties.

N-party BAR Transfer
We introduce the N-party BAR transfer problem that consists in reliably transferring arbitrarily large data from a set of N producers to a set of N consumers in the BAR model, i.e., in the presence of Byzantine, Altruistic, and Rational participants. The problem considers the existence of a trusted observer that gathers evidence to testify that the producers and consumers have participated in t...
متن کاملI-23: Mild Stimulation in ART
Background The conventional ovarian stimulation protocol aims to provide the maximum number of oocytes for fertilization which is lead to several embryos for selecting to transfer. There are some complications in this case like; OHSS, Multiple gestation, Time consuming, Patients discomfort, High costs, Emotional distress and Reduced implantation rate due to the embryo- endometrial asynchrony. R...
متن کاملI-5: Cancellation of Fresh Embryo Transfer: A Future Perspective
Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) affects adversely implantation following in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. COH with gonadotropins alters endometrial receptivity and luteal function. In addition periovulatory endometrial characteristics in stimulated cycles are considerably different compared with the natural cycles, and periovulatory secretory transformation is consistently ...
متن کاملA collusion mitigation scheme for reputation systems
Reputation management systems are in wide-spread use to regulate collaborations in cooperative systems. Collusion is one of the most destructive malicious behaviors in which colluders seek to affect a reputation management system in an unfair manner. Many reputation systems are vulnerable to collusion, and some model-specific mitigation methods are proposed to combat collusion. Detection of col...
متن کاملCollusion-Free Multiparty Computation in the Mediated Model
Collusion-free protocols prevent subliminal communication (i.e., covert channels) betweenparties running the protocol. In the standard communication model (and assuming the existenceof one-way functions), protocols satisfying any reasonable degree of privacy cannot be collusion-free. To circumvent this impossibility result, Alwen et al. recently suggested the mediatedmodel where...
